Yesterday, was a good day at KYFS. Between the Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG day of giving and our Chipotle Restaurant Night Fundraiser, we raised nearly $3,500. If we quantify the impact of those dollars, it means to 269 kids in South King County now have access to After School programming, 134 families now have access to mental health counseling, 16 little minds can attend our Early Childhood Education Program, or 14 moms and their kids now have a place to call home. $3,500 may seem like it cannot accomplish much but yesterday was proof the opposite is true.
