I am interested in serving on the KYFS Board because I believe in its mission and cause. I grew up in a single-parent household with limited resources and a lack of knowledge of available programs, which made it a bit more challenging growing up. I am at a place in my life now that allows me to give back my time and resources to help empower and lift others. All available programs are equally essential and needed, in my opinion. However, I firmly believe that if children have access to the resources early on in their childhood, it could help eliminate the need for them to access other programs in the future.
