We are looking for a dynamic Lead Substance Use Disorder Professional to be responsible for providing individual and family therapy, group counseling, educational classes, and case management services; provides counseling and intervention services to youth, families, and communities. This position will also provide supervision to identified SUDP/SUDPT treatment staff and/or Interns.
Job Title: Lead Substance Use Disorder Professional
Location: Kent, WA
Position Schedule: Full-Time and requires at least one evening a week until 8 PM
Current Washington State certification in Substance Use Disorder field (SUDP) with at least one year of experience.
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience in counseling youth, and families.
Experience in leading groups, training, and workshops.
Requires a safe driving record as defined by Kent Youth and Family Services.
Knowledge of treatment approaches for individual and family counseling, crisis intervention and brief therapy and GAIN assessment.
Knowledge of group process.
Ability to develop and monitor goal-directed treatment relationships.
Ability to work in a community setting.
Ability to develop community resources and market services.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to read, write and speak in English.
Knowledge of Performance and Quality Improvement process.
Must demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural competency.
